MOTH

Welcome to Spirit Animal Sunday, my new series in which we will be working our way through the "Animal Spirits" Deck by The Wild Unknown, exploring each of the creatures as spirit animals, messengers and companions. Last week, we met RACCOON; if you missed it, check it out on the blog feed.

Today, we meet MOTH...

MOTH

"Is it time for you to transform into something closer to your heart?"

The moth teaches us to have faith in our journey. She moves through the darkness with certainty, always following the light, certain that her needs will be met. Moth tells us that even when things are complicated or overwhelming, we will be okay; everything will work out in the end.

Moth is a child of the moon, driven by a need to follow the lunar light at all costs. This is both a testament to faith and determination, and a warning not to fall victim to blind faith. The Moth is so determined to follow the Moon's light that she begins to think every light is Luna, leaving her self open to distraction and harm. This vulnerability teaches us to be aware and pay attention to what it is we follow; is it genuine, is it true?

As the Moth is a nocturnal creature, it carries heavy connotations of psychic awareness, dreams, visions, and intuition. When Moth appears, we must pay close attention to the intuitive messages we are receiving. Don't miss the details! Something big is coming to us and we don't want to miss it!

Moth people are incredibly optimistic; they always find the silver lining in every situation. They are great listeners and give good advice, seeking the positive no matter what. This makes them highly sought after by their friends for counsel. They tend to be popular, as Moth people are extremely generous with their attention and affection, making everyone they meet feel loved and cared for. Moth people also have a bit of the mystic about them, understanding the subtleties of the Universe's workings and their role in it. This knowledge allows them to both attract that which they desire into their life, and navigate through life's difficult times or periods of change. Moth people will find great joy in ritual and dance, honoring the ancient and primal ways of the ancestors.

Is Moth your spirit animal? Post about it on Instagram and tag it with #SpiritAnimalSunday. You may get featured on my page!

Also, the site has a new feature: a comment box! It's located on the main blog page, so feel free to connect with me there. And, as always, you can send messages through the submission form on the home page! Love you guys!
