Hi! I'm back! I took a brief hiatus to recharge a little bit! If you've been reading my blog, you know that I had to deal with a haunting in my home, so that's been preoccupying most of my time. ANd once that was done, I had to rest up. But I'm feeling much more zen after my "getaway". Gotta take of yourself first, am I right?
So let's kick off my return with a Spirit Animal Sunday post! This week, our animal guide is NIGHTINGALE!

From the guidebook:
FEARLESS VOICE, SPEECH, COMMUNICATION OR SONG
"The song of the nightingale is otherworldly. This simple brown bird, almost unnoticeable amongst the flashy plumage of other birds, transports its listener to the realm of poetry. Nightingale energy is with us when we write, compose, and especially when we sing. It reminds us that music heals the deepest wounds. This card indicates a need to open the bridge between the heart and the voice. Is there something you need to say? How long has it been since you sang? Turn it up, write it down, and let it out."
When in balance: sings, speaks freely with kindness
When out of balance: shy, lump in the throat
To bring into balance: music
The sweet song of the Nightingale gives inspiration as a harbinger of a personal dawn. She guides one into seeing the importance in the connection to old beliefs and thoughts. It is time to take authority of your mind. She teaches the nocturnal song and brings to the light what is mysterious and hidden. What is learned in the "night' is to be incorporated into the "day". She shows how to move throughout different consciousness and use inspirations of higher realms while keeping grounded. Nightingale balances masculine and feminine energies along with balancing dietary elements. It is time to sing loudly - above the cacophony of the mind chatter and above what others think and say. Timid and shy at times, she can show how to act with grace and elegance. In regards to parental love, timidity changes to a brave ferocity. Nightingale will show the balance between the two. Are you sharing what you know, acting what you believe?
Nightingale people tend to be soft-tempered, good speakers, and smooth in both their movements and voice. For them, sound, music and voice are very important. If they can awaken the creative power of their voice, they will be able to delve into the shamanic aspects of song, unveiling the magick of music. Nightingale people are very influenced by voice and sound, so the spoken word will take on greater power and magic. Things spoken lovingly will be felt more deeply; things spoken harshly will cut more deeply.
The power of the voice is awakening.
Set it free.
When a nightingale appears it is there to teach you the healing power of song and to move through fear and shadow with grace.
Is Nightingale your spirit animal? Post about it on Instagram with #SpiritAnimalSunday for a chance to be featured on my page!
